Dr. Summerville specializes in General Orthopaedics and Total Joint Replacement with a special concentration in the Reconstruction of Adult Hips and Knees. He sees patients at Condell Medical Center, Hawthorne Surgical Center, Lake Forest Hospital, and Victory Memorial Hospital (Vista East).

He was raised in Wheaton, Illinois. He received a B.S. degree from Northwestern University in Evanston in 1985 and his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago in 1990. And, he then completed an internship and a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern University in 1995. In addition, Dr. Summerville completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Adult Reconstruction of the Hip and Knee at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia in 1996.

Dr. Summerville is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the Lake Country Medical Society. He holds certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Summerville and wife, Martha, have a daughter, Maeve, and triplets Finola, Rory, and Macartan.
