Dr. Kornblatt, a partner of Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, has office hours at our facilities each Thursday. He also sees patients at his Morton Grove and Chicago offices. His practice is focused around the treatment of degenerative disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine. Dr. Kornblatt’s practice activities also include General Orthopaedics, particularly of the hands and upper extremity, Fracture Care, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Worker’s Compensation Issues.

 

He received his B.S. with High Honors from the University of Illinois in Champaign and his M.D. from Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago. He then completed an Internship in General Surgery and a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago as well as a Fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Academic appointments include serving as an assistant in General Surgery from 1979 to 1980, Assistant in Orthopaedics from 1980 to 1981, and Instructor from 1981 to 1985, all at the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine University of Illinois in Chicago.

Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery in 1987 and re-certified in 1996, Dr. Kornblatt is a member of the North American Spine Society, Illinois Orthopaedic Society, Chicago Medical Society, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Lake County Medical Society. He is an active Team Consultant for the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Wolves.

Dr. Kornblatt is married to Lynne and the family resides in Highland Park.
