He is also on the Clinical
Faculty at Rush North Shore Medical Center and was on the Clinical
Faculty at the North Chicago Veteran’s Administration in
North Chicago and holds a Podiatric Medicine License in Illinois,
Wisconsin, and Nevada. His professional awards and honors include
a Certificate of Appreciation from the North Chicago VA and the
Scholl Integrity Award.
His practice interests include Ankle Pain,
Arthritis of the Foot and Ankle, Arthroscopy (Minimally Invasive
Surgery), Bunions, Corns
and Calluses, Diabetic Foot Concerns, Flat Feet, Foot Pain, Foot
and Ankle Fractures, Gout, Hammer Toes, Heel Pain, Ingrown Toe Nails,
Nerve Pain in the Foot and Ankle), Orthotics (Arch Supports), Pediatric
Foot Deformities, General Podiatry, Reconstructive Foot and Ankle
Surgery, and Warts and Skin Conditions.
Dr. Emerzian attended Northern Illinois University, where he earned
a Varsity Letter for Football and a Student/Athlete Honor (and
was later inducted into their Sports Hall of Fame), receiving his
B.S.
degree in 1987. He received his podiatry degree from the Dr. William
M Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1992. He then completed
an internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago and at Martin
Army Hospital at Ft. Benning, Georgia.
Then, after a two year surgical
residency program at Edgewater Medical Center / Day Surgicenters
in 1994, Dr Emerzian completed
a one-year
fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction with the Illinois Bone & Joint
Institute.
Dr. Emerzian and his wife Amy have a daughter, Elyse,
a son, Ara, and twin daughters, Olivia and Alexis. His practice
philosophy
is to provide excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of the
patient's
